From a family enterprise to a professionally managed global operation — this is the Hitco story.
Since inception in 1976, Hitco has led the way in innovative heating solutions. Scaling new heights and setting global excellence standards, we've transformed from a family enterprise to a professionally managed group — and in 2026, we mark 50 years of that journey with the same engineering discipline we started with.
In 1976, Shri Rajender Verma laid the foundation of what would become a leading player in the industrial heating solutions sector. Starting with the manufacture of Band Heaters for the Plastic Processing Industry, Hitco began its journey with a clear vision — to provide innovative and efficient heating solutions. Through decades of hard work, innovation, and perseverance, the Vermas have driven Hitco to deliver cutting-edge technologies, helping industries across the globe operate more efficiently and economically. What has remained consistent throughout these 48 years is the entrepreneurial spirit instilled by our founder. This spirit continues to define us — bold, responsive, and always striving for excellence in every aspect of our business.
By 1980, Hitco was producing Mica Band Heaters, which quickly gained recognition in the plastic processing industry. Our first 1,100 sq.ft factory was established in Delhi to cater to the growing demand. Soon after, as the needs of the plastic industry evolved, we expanded our product line to include Ceramic Band Heaters, followed by the introduction of Tubular Heaters for industrial and commercial applications. This period marked the beginning of Hitco's rapid growth and expansion into new heating technologies.
In 1994, Mr. Vikas Verma joined Hitco as Managing Director and Chief Visionary. His leadership brought a new wave of ideas and expansion strategies that would transform Hitco into a modern, dynamic enterprise. Under his guidance, the company grew its reach, entering both domestic and international markets, laying the groundwork for many of the innovations that followed.
With a keen focus on growth, Hitco embarked on a journey to explore international markets. This strategic move helped us diversify our customer base and gain global exposure. The desire to take Indian manufacturing excellence to global platforms drove us to forge partnerships and alliances in multiple countries, expanding our footprint significantly.
A milestone year for us, 1997 saw the incorporation of Hitco Electricals Pvt. Ltd., marking a new chapter in our corporate journey. This year, we also achieved ISO 9001-2000 certification, which affirmed our commitment to quality and excellence. It was also the year we ventured into the world of global exhibitions, beginning with Plastindia 1997, a prestigious event that showcased our products to a global audience. This was the first of many exhibitions we would go on to participate in over the years.
Innovation has always been at the heart of Hitco, and in 1998, we developed our first High-Density Cartridge Heater, designed to meet the demanding requirements of various industries. This innovation positioned us as a leader in the industrial heating segment and further reinforced our commitment to creating efficient heating solutions.
In 1999, we took another leap forward with the development of the "Insulation Plus" Power Saving Heater. This product offered enhanced energy efficiency, helping industries reduce their power consumption while maintaining high operational standards. This product was a game-changer for clients looking for cost-effective solutions to their heating needs.
By 2000, Hitco had outgrown its initial manufacturing unit, prompting a move to a new, larger facility. Our new premises, spread over more than 6,000 sq.ft, housed both our manufacturing operations and corporate office. This move was crucial to accommodate our growing product line and expanding workforce, setting the stage for further innovations and production capacity.
In 2001, Hitco established a comprehensive distributor and liaison agent network across India. This extensive network enabled us to serve a wider range of clients with speed and efficiency. We also began offering a complete in-house design and manufacturing solution for cast-in heaters, reinforcing our position as an all-in-one heating solutions provider.
Our reputation for reliability and innovation attracted the attention of leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) across India. By 2002, we were proud to be working with some of the most reputed names in the industry, providing them with customized heating solutions to meet their specific needs.
2003 was another landmark year for Hitco, as we successfully developed our first Heater Cooler Assembly. This product allowed for better heat management and efficiency, catering to industries requiring high-performance heating solutions. It also marked a significant step forward in our design and manufacturing capabilities.
The year 2004 saw Hitco making its mark on the global stage. We participated in K-2004, an international exhibition held in Germany, marking our debut in international trade shows. Simultaneously, we began establishing an international distributor network, allowing us to cater to the growing global demand for our heaters. Additionally, we set up our in-house design center, equipped with CAD/CAM, to further our innovation and product development efforts.
As we celebrated 30 years in business in 2006, we also inaugurated a new manufacturing unit in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, reflecting our continuous growth and the increasing demand for our products. This milestone anniversary highlighted our journey of dedication, quality, and innovation, which had firmly established Hitco as a trusted name in the industry.
In 2008, we opened a new facility in Noida dedicated to process systems design and fabrication. This addition further enhanced our ability to deliver custom heating solutions to a broader range of industries, allowing for faster project completion and higher precision in manufacturing.
In 2015, we adopted Solid Edge 3D Software for enhanced design capabilities. Additionally, we introduced the INSUL Wrap with Aerogel Technology, a revolutionary solution for energy savings in industrial heating applications. This innovation solidified our position as a leader in energy-efficient technologies.
Marking our 40th anniversary, 2016 was a year of significant growth. We expanded our operations by opening a Warehouse in Gujarat, providing faster delivery and better service to our clients in Western India. This strategic move allowed us to optimize our logistics and inventory management, further enhancing our customer service capabilities.
Following the success of our warehouse in Gujarat, we expanded it further in 2017 to meet the growing demand from our clients. This expansion was a testament to our commitment to providing timely and reliable services to our customers.
In 2019, we opened a new Production/Warehouse facility in Delhi, further strengthening our manufacturing and distribution capabilities. This year also saw our Director, Mr. Vvikas Verma, becoming an esteemed member of the IIA Noida Chapter, reflecting his leadership and commitment to the industry.
During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Hitco responded with innovation by developing UV lamps to help combat the virus. Despite the difficulties faced globally, we continued to expand our Production Unit in Noida, demonstrating our resilience and adaptability in times of crisis.
In 2021, we were proud to receive the Appreciation Award from the Intimate Apparel Association of India (IAAI) for our contributions to the industry. We also participated in Plast Asia 2021, continuing our tradition of showcasing our innovations at leading exhibitions.
The year 2022 was a year of accolades. Mr. Vvikas Verma, our Chief Visionary, was honored with a Plaque of Honor by the IIA Noida Chapter for his outstanding contributions to the industry. We also continued our exhibition journey by participating in Plast Asia 2022, further cementing our position as a leader in industrial heating solutions.
In 2023, Hitco introduced its latest innovation — the Power Saving Induction Heating System (Induce Heat), which offers unparalleled energy efficiency and performance. We also participated in Plastivision 2023, showcasing our latest advancements to the global industry.
2024 has been a remarkable year for us. We developed Blue Coating for Tubular Heaters specifically designed for Geysers, adding another innovative product to our portfolio. Additionally, Hitco became a Silver Member of Plastfocus, reinforcing our commitment to industry leadership. Our Chief Visionary, Mr. Vvikas Verma, was recognized as an EC Member of IIA, a prestigious honor that reflects his influence and dedication to the industry.
