Low Density Cartridge Heaters

Hitco’s low density cartridge heater is a proven low cost solution for most heating applications.

Hitco’s low density cartridge heater is a proven low cost solution for most heating applications. Instead of having high watt density capabilities; it’s made of low watt density application. These heating elements can be supplied with all the different connection leads. Supplied with surface load up to 5 w/cm². The maximum sheath temperature is 400°.

Features

What you get

  • Nickel – chromium resistance wire, precisely wound through the heated length, assures even, efficient distribution of heating to the sheath
  • Metallurgic ally-bonded conductor pins, crimp connected to the resistance wires, ensure trouble-free electrical conductivity. This process provides leads flexibility just 8 mm (5/16 inch) from the end of the heater
  • Flexible standard wires, with silicon- fiberglass sleeves, insulate the wire to temperature of 250°C
  • Optional lead end with silicon rubber seal protects the leads against moisture and other contaminates
Applications

Where it is used

  • Heating of manifolds
  • Heating of dies
  • Heating of platens
  • Heating of hot stamping
  • Packaging machines
  • Injection molding machine
  • Extrusion machines
